ALL4PACK Paris | Packaging’s present and future

All4Pack is organised around the four major segments of packaging: packaging, processing), printing and logistics – which takes over handling.

87,000 visitors are expected to meet 1,500 exhibitors. Machines and packaging share the exhibition area equally.
The signature “Share your creativity!” Invites to share around the values of creativity and innovation as evidenced by the Innovation Awards, Sial Innovation, the Creative Lounge, the Startups Lab, the selection of Creapills or the fourth edition of PackTheFuture, the creation contest organised by Elipso , the French union of plastic and flexible packaging companies, and its German counterpart Industrievereinigung Kunststoffverpackungen (IK).

The conference program is focused on All4Pack Live while buyers can benefit from scheduled appointments and à la carte services.

PETnology

There is a first to note among the various events: the international summit of polyethylene terephthalate (PET) arises in Paris. Led by Barbara Appel, PETnology has positioned itself since its creation in 2001 as the PET’s innovation platform. This twenty-first Parisian edition focuses on the circular economy and solidarity, ecodesign and technical developments related to thermoforming and pre-stretching. Preforms, caps, closure systems, bottles, flasks, labels and films: all types of packaging are on the agenda. From suppliers of raw materials to recyclers, packaging manufacturers and principals, the meeting brings together all stakeholders in the sector.

Pack to the Future

The event organiser Comexposium has entrusted designer Fabrice Peltier (pictured) with a vast investigation into the future of packaging. In a summary entitled “Packaging at the dawn of its revolution“, Peltier, with the help of the European Association of Packaging Designers (EPDA), has distinguished four mutations that will change packaging: the aging of the population, the depletion of the planet’s resources, the development of artificial intelligence and increased mobility thanks to autonomous vehicles and the conquest of space.

All4Pack 2018 is being held from 26-29 November in Paris-Nord Villepinte
